$818.50

What is that number? That number is 25% of the $3,274 Bad Beat Jackpot. Find yourself with the winning hand and not only will you win the pot, you get that 25% as a bonus. Just witness the hand, and you and the other players at the table get to split it. Splitting it eight ways is now atleast $100 to anyone involved!

But enough about the keychains and gimmicks.

We snagged some new blood last week. One guy, Greg, we met playing at the Free-Roll at Union Jack's in Bethesda. He had a good time at the game and not thirty minutes into it asked if he could invite a friend over. By the time Keyan arrived the game was in full swing.

Scooter had his stack well over $800 in the first two hours, but slipped up at one point and shipped a bunch to StirFry when Jeff flopped top two vs Scooter's 7d5d fropped frush.

Have no fear, the four-outer is here! Jeff turned Aces full, and just to show off, the case Ace hit the river to give him quadzilla.

Scooter got atleast $300 off of Nelly one hand when he flopped TPGK, turned top two, and rivered 2nd nut boat.

Nelly had air, nothing, just splashing around trying to keep the game interesting.

What a fish.

Nonetheless, we should focus. Keenan is back from Detroit. E ran a game Fri and Sat night AND he failed to give it all back playing...

So come watch Keenan play after going cold-turkey for almost two weeks and E play like he's invincible. I think Greg and Keyan are gonna be back... possibly Scooter, too. Jefferson is sure to be there to alter his "getting blinded out" condition. Hit me up on AIM or E-mail to lock up a seat.

Blame the Triptophan

Roughly 52 weeks ago, we were under the impression that we would not be having a game the night before Thanxgiving because people had plans to go out of town. Maybe they weren't going out of town, but had other friends and family coming to their own homes, and they had to get up to cook the next day.

Au contrare.

For those of you that might not know, the night before Turkey Day is one of the two busiest nights of the year in the bar business when it comes to people going out and partying and having a generally good time. Everyone and their mother has off the next day, and there are no religious hang-ups to keep you indoors and off the streets.

Lo and behold, it applies to poker as well. Sure enough, we ran our game last year the night before Thanxgiving, and we're gonna do it again this year. Expect to see some faces you may not have come across before.

Scooter's already locked up a seat and simply can't wait for revenge after all the chips he donked off last Wednesday. Katie dominated the table last week after flopping a set of Kings against E-Honda's set of sevens. They got it all-in somewhere around the flop for over $350 each.

Ouch.

She'll be looking for a repeat performance.

Not sure what FishTankSteve's plans are, but I do remember him showing up to play last week, for what he warned me would "only be for an hour." After he found out Kenny was gonna play, he wanted to stay for the entertainment, changed the date for his other plans, and ended up saying several times "Steve's throwing a party" somewhere around the third or fourth re-buy.

That fish somehow finished with only a $50 loss after getting well over $700 stuck in the game.

It's gonna be a juicy one, I can promise you that. Hit me up via AIM or E-Mail to lock up a seat.

Gimme another $300...

Last week was pretty sick. VT-Man (Vince) from Pops' tourneys came out to play and put the hurt on AdamKeith not ten minutes after Adam sat down.

Vince c/r'd somewhere in the hand, or maybe it was a lead-out, three-bet...

Got Adam to fold bottom two pair, Vince showed him 2nd Pair, king kicker. Oh, yeah, now it's on.

Pops and E were going at it as if they were the only two people at the table. One hand was something like...

Pops, UTG + 2, $157 in front. E, two seats behind Pops, covers him atleast twice (at the time) in chips.

Pops is first in the pot pf, makes it $7, E makes it $17, gets back to Pops, he says something about E always re-raising him "with that bullshit."

Pops makes it $50, pf.

E asks how much Pops has behind... opts to just call.

Flop comes out KQxr. Pops is all in as soon as I release the flop from my fingers. E damn-near insta-calls.

We're all expecting something like... AA vs set of Queens or Kings right...

Nah, Pops is fucking around with K9o and E's got JTo.

The hell? The "monster" that is K9o holds, and Pops doubles through.

We managed to round up 77 pots over $100 last week, which puts the Bad Beat Jackpot at $3,150.

Cards in the air this week at 7PM. Hope to see you there!

First to worst, and other hands

Ah, The Donkey Corral. You gotta love it when you pop the $4 live straddle for $13 more, get five-way action to the flop, it comes out ATA w/ a spade draw, it checks to you, and you make it $55. Then some donk c/r's you for the minimum, you ship it for about $100 on top of his c/r, and he turns up the monster that is A7o.

Well, nh sir, but I've got TT for tens full.

Oh, look at that, seven on the turn! Now I've got one out. This game is fun!

The Bad Beat Jackpot is up to $3,073 now. We picked up a few new players last week and between the beats those two and Pops and PDoggie were taking, the pots got big.

I heard a rumor that Superdave made it out of Atlantic City alive and he will be attending again this coming Wednesday.
