Will Bribery Work?

I must admit, some of these home games have been pretty weak lately when it comes to bringing out new players. So here's the deal. Show up at our game and if you've never played $1/$2 NL at our spot, I'll give ya a nice shiny green chip. If you bring a friend that's never played our game, I'll give you a nice shiny green chip. Two friends, two green chips. These green chips are each worth $25 people!

Sorry, but I can't let just any Joe Lucksack from off the street show up, I've got to know you from somewhere... but like I said, if you haven't played our spot, come on out and get your balls in there! I'm giving away bribes!

On top of the bribes, there exists the Bad Beat Jackpot. It's up to $2,650! We're sure to have a homecooked meal ready for you. None of that b.s. two pizzas and a Sam's Choice Cola.

Last Wednesday I was dealing a hand where there was a modest $120 or so in the pot. Player bet about $20, one raised to $45, a third went all in for $7 more.

Both opponents folded.

The fact that the third player turned and rivered the nuts is irrelevant. It just goes to show you that it's never incorrect to fold.

The Bad Beat Jackpot is up over $2,680 now. Come on out and try to get a piece of it!

I'm not entirely sure what's on the menu this week, but I do know we won't be Atlantic City up until 10 hours before the start of the game. We'll be right here in town to get the preparations rolling.

Cards will be in the air at 1915 this week. We're gonna try the Old NJ State Tax bonus again. Anyone arriving before 1930 will get a 6% bonus on their buy-in. It doesn't sound like much, but it should help pay for a pack of cigarettes or a gallon of gas.

Imports aren't just for car salesman anymore

I've spent the past couple of months whoring out this website and this game like it's my job. Wait a minute... it is my job! This game is how I put food on the coffee table and cigarettes in my pocket. So come on out and get your balls in there, people! New deal this coming Wednesday - if you're traveling via public transportation whether it's a taxi cab from New Carrolton, MD or a Greyhound from Atlantic City, NJ - bring me a receipt and I'll split the cost with you 50/50.

There's a couple dealer's in AC and even a floorperson or two that have expressed interest and even disbelief in the amount of action we generate in a single $1/$2 NL home game. Nelly or I have now said "Bad Beat gets $1" over 2400 times. The Bad Beat Jackpot is now up to $2,547! Lose a pot with AAAJJ (or better) when you and your opponent use both hole cards at showdown and the best hand gets 25% of the pot. Runner-up gets 50%, and anyone else dealt two cards that hand splits up the remaining 25%.

The action is sick at times. We've got a "rock" that randomly forces players to make it a $1/$2/$4 NL game and allow live straddles all the time. It's not uncommon to see stacks and towers and pyramids. Even better, Nelly slaves away in the kitchen all day on Wednesdays to provide a hearty home-cooked meal. Beers, sodas, more bags of Doritos and Fritos than you can shake a stick at.

It's a tiny rake compared to AC, too. Just 10% with a $3 cap. Don't be a contributor to the greedy bastards around the way that take $4 max and upwards of $5, $6 and the rumored "oh, the pot's huge, I think I'll take $8 or $10 out of this one..."

Hey, you... yeah, you - while you're cashing out for four racks of red...

I went over to the Fish Tank on Sunday to deal a few hands and one of the players was cashing out four shiny racks of red checkers... so we decided to invite him to the Wedsnesday Night game. He'll be present along with "you're lucky I folded the nuts" Eddie.

Look out for the regulars and come hungry. Nelly's sure to whip up something tasty. That damned Bad Beat Jackpot is up over $2500 now... and it's still growing. Cards in the air at 7PM.

Pot!

I know, I know... Saturday and Wednesday are not the same day... but Pops is gonna be preoccupied with birthday celebration duties on this upcoming Saturday 5 Aug 2007 - so we're gonna spread a $1/$2 Pot Limit game. It's gonna be PL Hold 'em, but with enough interest, we'll do a 1/2 hour of Hold'em and switch to 1/2 hour of Omaha Hi. Hit me up via PM/IM/E-mail, or give me a call if you're interested in playing.

We'll even bring back the fucked customer bonus. Every time the pot hits $100 - you'll hear the dealer say "Fucked Customer gets $1" and then you'll probably hear Gypsy Pete say "That Asshole." At the end of the night, whosoever got hurt the most, gets a rebate.
