Blame the Triptophan

Roughly 52 weeks ago, we were under the impression that we would not be having a game the night before Thanxgiving because people had plans to go out of town. Maybe they weren't going out of town, but had other friends and family coming to their own homes, and they had to get up to cook the next day.

Au contrare.

For those of you that might not know, the night before Turkey Day is one of the two busiest nights of the year in the bar business when it comes to people going out and partying and having a generally good time. Everyone and their mother has off the next day, and there are no religious hang-ups to keep you indoors and off the streets.

Lo and behold, it applies to poker as well. Sure enough, we ran our game last year the night before Thanxgiving, and we're gonna do it again this year. Expect to see some faces you may not have come across before.

Scooter's already locked up a seat and simply can't wait for revenge after all the chips he donked off last Wednesday. Katie dominated the table last week after flopping a set of Kings against E-Honda's set of sevens. They got it all-in somewhere around the flop for over $350 each.

Ouch.

She'll be looking for a repeat performance.

Not sure what FishTankSteve's plans are, but I do remember him showing up to play last week, for what he warned me would "only be for an hour." After he found out Kenny was gonna play, he wanted to stay for the entertainment, changed the date for his other plans, and ended up saying several times "Steve's throwing a party" somewhere around the third or fourth re-buy.

That fish somehow finished with only a $50 loss after getting well over $700 stuck in the game.

It's gonna be a juicy one, I can promise you that. Hit me up via AIM or E-Mail to lock up a seat.

Cards in the air at 7PM!
